Do You Have Rats?
Do you know how to tell if you have a rat
problem? Aside from seeing them, there are things to look for. Things that
will tell you whether you have a rat problem.
Signs of Rats
If you find any of the following things in
your home, you may have a rat problem and should consult a pest control
service in your area.
1. Noises in your attic or walls, particularly
after dusk. Listen for scratching noises.
2. Rat droppings around animal food dishes or
other food sources. Rat droppings are black and will glisten when fresh.
3. Burrows underneath compost piles and in
gardens.
4. Rats nests around wood piles, behind boxes
and in drawers.
5. Grease marks along beams, rafters, etc.
These marks are grease from rats fur which rubs off.
6. Gnawing marks on boxes, wood, wiring, etc.
7. You see a rat. This one should be a pretty
obvious sign.
